I use Norton Anti-Virus, it has email checking. When you open the mail, it will read the mail and check it for viruses before handing it off to your email program. The program is self updating. You tell it how often to update itself and it will go the Norton website and check for updates. If it finds any, it will download them and update itself.

It does not get any easier than that. In the last couple of weeks, I was sent emails by 2 different chippers that were infected with a viris. Norton caught both of them and "quarenteened" the virus. I was able to read the mail and reply to the sender to inform them that they were infected.

I have absolutely no interest in Norton products, financial or otherwise, I am just a satisfied user.
