you may get your money in 3-4 weeks. similar thing happen to me in 03, someone had used my Paypal account. using my debit card number. Paypal only had my checking account number, was two transactions total $963.99, as stated paypal refunded all. funds had not been released as they thought it was fraud. bottom line is that Paypal will accept charges against your account, until you call their attention there is a problem, bank was very nice forgave all overdrafts charges this problem created and only charged me $5 for new debit card.
