I had $350 HP's ( real junk) and all the rest of the garbage! They were all junk! I got a Brother LC 61 or MFC 295 CN - same machine - for about $60! It is the most reliable scanner I have had! The problem is that bright flourescent colors do not scan accurately and some of the other off beat colors come out odd it but extremely reliable.
