When I had my Mom in assisted living for part of her 14 month nightmare before she passed away, it was about $4,800 a month here in Las Vegas. And as you pointed out that does not include any needed drugs.

Even paying that much you have to stay on top of what is going on in ANY assisted living, rehab or hospital you have a loved one in. Social Security numbers left lying around for all to see on various forms, bed rails not left up as they should be to protect people from falling out of bed. Medication not given at the time it should be. Bed sheets not changed when they need to be. I could go on & on. Those things also did not happen in just one place, my Mom was in about 7 different places in those 14 months & I found problems in all of them except one.

As to..."that is working out splendidly for me." I'm really happy to hear that, Mark. Keep posting here whenever you can. Maybe we'll see you in February!
