Hi Jim. I'm curious what made you think priority was better than first class? I've asked about this at the post office and was told Priority IS First Class. It just gives you a savings for heavier items. It also allows you to use some services such as delivery confirmation. But I was told priority is treated exactly the same as first class by the post office. It's no speedier and the handling is the same.
