Many years ago I was headed back home and while waiting in the Hughes terminal for my plane I was playing a bank of five cent slots. I didn't have any luck on most of them but I had not played one that was buzzing and whirring like crazy. I finally decided to try it and my nickel was credited with 2 nickels. Two nickels were credited with 3. Hmmmmmmmm. I played 3 for a while before I realized that since there was no bonus for playing all 3 I was only getting a 50% bonus for my 2 nickels versus 100% bonus for only playing one. I played for 1 1/2 hours until I couldn't move my right arm anymore! I think I cashed out for something like $13. Not a huge hit of course but it sure helped kill the time.
