Is the inlay lifting? Is the $10 (or is it $1C) stamped on? The condition of the chip isn't always indicative of age.

From what I see,, 1900-1910. Just a guess

I don't believe any c&s were made before 1900. W&H (the maker of early inlays) was incorporated in 1892.
