Reminds me of the time a couple years ago my wife and I were deciding whether to spend an afternoon at Pala Casino or Casino Pauma. (about 5 miles away)
We decided on the smaller Casino Pauma. It was about 100 degrees that day, and I had an ice cold, unopened plastic bottle of diet coke in my hand. As I am about to enter, the security guard informs me I can't bring food or drink in the casino..only bottled water.
I had never heard of this policy at any other casino.
So we walk the 5 minutes back to the car in the 100 degree heat, to put the coke back in the ice chest, and we proceed to get a bottle of water for the 5 minute walk back in the oppressive heat to the front door of the casino.
So we get to the door, and now the security guard says we can't enter the casino because our bottle of water was OPEN. He didn't tell us that before.
We get so pissed off, we go back to the car, get the heck out of Dodge, and drive to Pala..where the Mrs. proceeded to hit the Double Double Bonus with a Royal, and 4 Aces with the kicker, which we probably wouldn't have hit at Pauma.
In the end, opening that water bottle, made us over a Grand..
