My understanding is that Caesars will redeem any chip or token ever issued with their name on it. I know my man at Caesars found me a lot of very nice old Caesars chips that the cage took in at face. Included were some of the 50c chips (HCE mold) from the first set used in 1966. I would imagine they could demonitize a particular chip for a good reason (like counterfeiting) but probably not just because it was confused with another house's chip.
