One of the managers at work told me, "If you are going Vegas, you have to go to the Hard Rock and visit my son... He is a Pit Boss there at the pool." So after breakfast at the Peppermill, I decided to go there because I have never been to the Hard Rock.
I Valeted the truck and after asking directions I found my way to the pool area where there was a long line of younger folks in their bikinis and speedos waiting in line to get in. I just walked down the hallway like I owned the place and opened the door to the pool area and walked in. I was met by a 6' 8" dude with a security badge on who proceeded to tell me that there was a special event going on at the pool called RxEHAB and that it was $300 to get in. I told him that I was just there to visit my freinds son and I would not be staying for the Party. His response was, "I am sorry sir but you can't get in." So I made my way back up to the main casino and was looking for a bathroom when I asked a Pit Boss where to find one and then I told him what had just happened. He asked me who I was there to see and I told him Ryan W. and he said, "You know Ryan's dad?" Then told me to wait just a minute and he got on the phone. He then handed the phone to me and the voice on the other end said, "Go to the top of the escalator and wait for me there." I did and Lyle's son Ryan was soon shaking my hand. He told me that it was perfect timing because he was on break and he proceeded to give me the grand tour of the pool area where they were filming an episode of RxHAB. He said, "You are LUCKY because not everybody gets to see this!" There were hundreds if not thousands of hard bodies everywhere and they were having a WILD PARTY with that same LOUD RUDE THUMPIN' MUSIC going on. OMG what a sight!

Ryan took me through security and outside of the Casino so we could have a smoke and talk for a while. He then showed me the Poker Room and left me there so he could go back to work. I bought an entry in the 1 O'Clock tourney and sat at a $1-$2 ALL IN table to get a few hands in before the tourney. I took $180 off of the 1-2 table while I waited, and then took 2nd place in the tourney for $159. The Poker Room boss there said I was just a couple of points away from a $50 comp diner and that if I played a bit more... diner would be on the house. So I played a slot machine to get the points and BINGO I hit the JACKPOT on a Double Diamond machine! "I'll have the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer and the Felet Mignon stuffed with Drunken Goat Cheese please. All I paid for was a nice Glenfiddich afterward. HEY... what's taking you guys so long to get here?
