Re: Thanks, Joel. CA casino ??
table games are allowed at Indian Casinos and some are offered at the different card clubs. Legally, the house isn't allowed to spread games and be the "winner" so any card club that has BlackJack, Pai gow, or other games must allow a player to be the banker. In blackjack for instance, there will be a person sitting at third base with a bunch of racks of chips. If you sit down to play blackjack, you play against them and just pay the house a cut. You also have the option to be the banker if you choose to take advantage of it. I don't remember what the requiremnt is but you have to have a certain amount of money on the table. I believe you can limit the amount a player can bet when you are the banker but I'm not sure.
The house just deals the cards and takes a cut on the hand. I've never played any of these games at card clubs though. I believe at Ocean's 11, which is a card club, they have Black Jack but the player has to pay a fee for every hand, not just juice to the house for a winning hand. seems like a losing proposition to me.
At the Indian Casinos, they have regular blackjack, a modified version of Craps (dice games are technically illegal but they figured out a work around), and I believe roullette. There's also the normal three card poker, pai gow, etc. Just like in Vegas.
San Diego County has more Indian Casinos than any other county in the country but they aren't all that convenient to get to. They also aren't all that big or nice either.
