If you look on page 87 of James & Steve's, it appears to be the inlay from the 4th issue Frontier $5 chip.

The comment under this issue is: "All of the above 4th issues were buried and burned in the desert. Many of the coin centers exist and are confused by non-collectors as valuable coins."
