Distinguishing chips with close color differences is tough. I've always found the only way is to compare with known chips of the differing colors. These chips with metal particles in the chip are especially hard because the metal corrodes with time and makes the chip look darker. With a scanner and picture editing software, you can easily get differences in scans of the same chip.
I'd suggest taking it to a chipper who has both and seeing what he says. I don't collect the Flamingo or I'd volunteer.
