Using internet explorer, version 8. Got the anti-virus program (spyware doctor with anti-virus) back around November.

I think the problem is a corrupted cookie. After David said to try manually deleting all chipboard cookies, there is one cookie that will NOT delete. And it says that cookie was modified June 3, 2010 at 9:46 p.m. and that sounds like around the time my problems started. It says the cookie will expire at 8:00 p.m. on 12-30-2010...maybe it will go away then...everything else is working fine.

Thanks for the ideas...I've cleared the cache at least four times, so I'll try the reset...can't hurt!
