I am not an expert on NV Gaming Law. I am just speaking from my experiences running cage operations in Iowa. I am just wondering if their internal controls filed with the state forbid them selling chips from the cage?

At both my properties we made our internal controls loose enough to sell chips from the cage, we don't actively sell chips from the cage. But sometimes we will get big players that breeze through and want to cash a check for chips to play (no markers or credit in Iowa). And if we have collectors come through, if I am around (which is nearly always), they can buy as many chips as they want. Sometimes a front line cashier may say no (many times because they don't know all the rules), just ask for a cashier supervisor, cashier shift manager or manager. Many times a cashier or a supervisor will call me to see if it is OK. The answer is usually yes.

As for the butt chewing from the Manager? at the Luxor. I must say that they have some great customer service. Just amazing.
