As I mentioned previously, last weekend I stopped by Circus Circus and picked up some of their new $1 chips and also Win Cards chips. I did this in two steps, buying the stack of $1 chips and then going off to the slot club booth to sign-up for the Win Cards. I then doubled backed to the same cashier (who gave me brand new, uncirculated $1 chips!) and paid $40 (2 $20's) for the $30 Win Cards package. The cashier had no problem getting 6 uncirculated 5 NCVs, but the 1 NCVs were all used, as they had been part of the earlier Win Cards program. After giving me the package, he wanted to explain how the NCVs worked and on which games, but I told him that it did not matter, as I was a collector and just wanted the chips.

He was surprised and we discussed it briefly and then I had to go. About 2 hours later I realized that I did not get my $10 in change and since I was away from the property, I called the main cage and asked what to do. The manager asked who I was dealing with and since I had so much contact with the same cashier, I remembered his name and told her it was George. She said George had already left for the day. At the same time I could hear her yell out to someone, asking if George was over for the day. The answer came back that he was over and she asked me how much was I short? I said $10 and she said well, George was over by $10.

I asked if they could mail me a check, and that is what showed up today!

So, as a collector of many items, including "paper", should I cash it or keep it?
