As pictured here, this blackjack table (missing a cross-beam support) is sporting a felt from the Elardi ownership time period.
I note that the stylized "F" is used as the "F" in "Frontier" as you noted for the 1991 dated playing card.
This table was acquired at a Las Vegas yard sale and supposedly purchased at the auction for the Frontier when it was being closed (and imploded). Unfortunately, the seller had no sales receipt from the auction and therefore no proof of provenance other than the felt reflecting the Frontier.
But under closer examination of one of the table legs, I saw this property tag:
A few days ago I posted this same picture and asked if anyone recognized the logo, to which I received several helpful suggestions (thanks Debra M. and Pam G.) but I was asking a rhetorical question, as I already knew the correct answer!
Here is the un-edited picture of the property tag:
Yep, Summa Corporation!!!
So this table (at least one leg ) was in the ownership of the Summa Corporation sometime between 1967 and 1988! Perhaps pre- 1976, the year Howard Hughes died.
While I neglected to take a picture, the underside of this table is loaded with chewing gum!
Thanks again Michael for helping to narrow down the period of use for the felt.
