Peter, on this one, I don't agree with you. In the media's rush to be first, the importance of being right took a back seat. When numbers are being shown that indicate East Coast states have gone a certain way, those West Coast folks that may have voted, or voted for the perceived loser may well rethink and not vote or vote differently. Say that I was going to vote for Nader, but saw that Gore really needed my vote to stave off the Bush lead, then I probably wouldn't vote for Nader.
This is my opinion, and I can certainly consider others.
