Some time the 'plancket (thats what it is called)' fails to be pressed between the dies and wind up in the bag as blanks. There are all kinds of error coins: blanks, clips, off-centers, folds, poorly made planckets, laminations etc. what you have sells any where from $1 to 5 (depending penny to quarters) There are collectors of error coins and error stamps too.
