A HARVEST STORY

HARVEST ADVENTURES FROM AN ADDICTED CHIP COLLECTOR

BY RICHARD “REGGIE” GUMMER
SOME PEOPLE HAVE COMPULSIONS TO GAMBLE, SOME TO AMASS FORTUNES AND OTHER’S, THEY JUST LIKE TO WRITE STORIES; YEAH, THAT WOULD BE ME. I WAS NEVER VERY GOOD AT IT ; BUT I HAVE DONE IT OVER THE YEARS JUST THE SAME.
IF ANY OF YOU WANT ANY INSIDE INFORMATION ON ANY CASINO THAT I’VE BEEN TO, I WOULD BE HAPPY TO TELL YOU WHAT I CAN.

PERSONAL HARVESTING STORIES

CARIBBEAN PRINCESS

By:RICHARD “REGGIE” GUMMER

THIS WAS THE HONEYMOON CRUISE (TRIP) WE NEVER TOOK AFTER OUR MARRIAGE IN LAKE TAHOE ON AUGUST 5, 2007. IT STARTED OUT EXCITING ENOUGH, WE WERE TO BOARD THE CARIBBEAN PRINCESS IN PORT CANAVERAL (CAPE CANAVERL, FL)
AT THE TIME WE WERE LIVING IN TENNESSEE AND GETTING OUR FIRST TASTE OF WINTER. IT WAS VERY COLD WHEN WE DROVE DOWN TO FLORIDA FOR THE ONE WEEK CRUISE. WE STAYED OVER NIGHT AT A MOTEL THAT ALSO, PROVIDED THE PARKING OF YOUR CAR FOR THE SHIPS CRUISE IF YOU STAYED WITH THEM. THEY HAD A LITTLE RACKET GOING THERE, ME THINKS. BESIDES, THE PARKING THEY FED US BREAKFAST THE MORNING BEFORE BOARDING AND PROVIDED A SHUTTLE TO THE SHIP, THE COMPLETE PACKAGE.
I HAD NOT BEEN ON A CRUISE FOR SEVERAL YEARS, BUT IT WAS WONDERFUL, THEY HAD ALL THE AMENITIES I REQUIRED. OH YEAH, THEY HAD THE ON BOARD CASINO, OF WHICH I TOTALLY LOADED UP ON. CARIBBEAN PRINCESS CHIPS, I WAS ABLE TO TAKE OFF THE BOAT APPROXIMATELY: 30 $1’S, 20 SNAPPERS 5 $5 CHIPS AND ABOUT 20 $5 GRAND OPENING CHIPS. WAY TOO MANY CHIPS, AT LEAST; I THOUGHT AT THE TIME, BUT YOU KNOW HIND SIGHT IS 20/20 AND I REALLY DO NOT HAVE BUT A HANDFUL OF THAT SHIPS CHIPS RIGHT NOW.
AND TO MY DELIGHT THEY HAD THE LIGHTNING POKER ELECTRONIC TABLE. I SHOULD NOT SAY DELIGHT, BUT IT WAS FUN LEARNING HOW TO PLAY ON THE TABLE AND WINNING A COUPLE OF THE TOURNAMENTS THAT THEY HAD EACH DAY.
WHEN WE GOT BACK WE GOT A REAL DOSE OF WINTER WEATHER. EVEN IN FLORIDA THE TEMPERATURE WAS ONLY ABOUT 35 DEGREES. WE STAYED OVER NIGHT ON THE WAY HOME IN SAVANNAH, GA. AND I HAVE TO SAY IT WAS WAY MORE LIKE ALASKA. BY, THE TIME WE GOT BACK TO TENNESSEE THERE WAS SNOW ALL ALONG THE FREEWAY ALL THE WAY UP TO GOOD OLE’ CLEVELAND, TN. AND WE HAD TO SHOVEL OFF OUR DRIVE WAY TO PUT THE CAR IN THE GARAGE. A VERY MEMORABLE TRIP, HARVEST & HONEYMOON…REGGIE
