I remember that the northern entrance to the casino had two rows of payphone. Maybe 20 or so in total. Someone once told me that in the '70s the Stardust was the point place for odds setting on sports games. This is before cell phones. So when the Stardust odds were changed there was a rush to the the phones which were located just outside the casino to spread the news. Can anyone confirm this account. Does this tie to the Rosenthall era?
