About 25 conventions ago, when I was living in LA, I drove all my stuff to Vegas, but forgot to bring my “junk box”, a box of maybe 2000 chips that are $1-$3 each. I take credit for inventing the junk box at the old Bellflower shows because I was too lazy to put hundreds of chips in holders. It had proved so popular, that it became one of my biggest money makers at chip shows, and attracted many people to my table to look through it for hidden gems. Anyway, after two days in Vegas running with Doug Saito and Steve P, I actually flew back to LA, rented a cheap car at the airport, drove home, threw my junk box in a suitcase, and drove back to the airport, and flew back to Vegas. My junk box is still at my table, and at last count, had over 4500 chips in it, and sometimes I can’t believe what somebody finds in there.
