A few days ago (yesterday maybe - this has been a crazy busy week for me), I posted scans of two chips which I identified as being from a New York underground card club from the mid-2000's.

I will readily admit this is a pretty shaky attribution. I bought them off of ebay from someone who advertised them as NY illegals. I knew there was a Broadway club in New York at that time. I contacted the seller, who told me he was not sure, but believed they were from the NY club. I had seen one other sale for the $1 chip, which also sold it as a NY chip, but said in the auction, that they were not sure. So, I am unsure.

Anyway, I got contacted by someone who said they have one of the chips and they were sold the chip as a California chip (and a very hard one to get). Does anyone have a strong basis for attributing this chip to NY, CA or somewhere else? I would appreciate any information (I'm more interested in the truth, than getting an answer someone might think I would like).
