On the subject of one column, sometimes the material does not lend itself to be multi column. I will try to avoid it.

Many of the collector magazines I have read have the color backgrounds to break up the stories.

The white border at the bottom, I have not figured out how to bring the color all the way down in Indesign CS5. If someone can give me step by step instructions, I would like that.

After ten years I'm starting on trying to improve the look.
