I have never played poker on a cruise ship, but I would think the tables would generally be much looser then at most casinos and cardrooms. No sunglass/earpod reg grinders lol

BTW, in my experience, 1/2, 1/3, 2/5 play mostly identical. No noticeable skill difference until you move up to 5/T. At 5/T there is a noticeable skill difference, especially at the few Vegas poker rooms that offer it like the Bellagio, Wynn, etc. There are some real crushers in those games.
