Good story, especially all the places it has been. (and the fake cars that were at the carny shows.)
Here's the other car, according to one website:
According to a source, Al Capone’s bullet-proof 1928 Cadillac Model 341 Town Sedan is displayed at Whiskey Pete’s Hotel and Casino in Primm, Nevada. However, the same source also mentions that the car was never actually involved in any gunfights. It was augmented with slug holes and damage by its old owner for effect. The car was never involved in any firefights, especially since the hotel claims that it was even used by President Franklin D. Roosevelt as his own car once it was confiscated. FDR was never ever shot at while in this car, nor did he ride around in a car riddled with bullet holes. So the damage to the car is not authentic
Originally built for Dutch Schultz in 1931 with lead-filled doors and inch-thick glass, Al Capone's mob took the car after Dutch's murder.
There are also notes that the cars are sometimes loaned out, and may or may not be at the casinos, and that they have been moved from one of the Primm casinos to another and back again.
Last report they were both at Whiskey's Pete's in the lobby. Unlike Harrah's in Reno, which I never saw or the collection at Imperial Palace, which I never saw, the two cars at Primm are free.
Might as well tag on, the 1966 Batmobile at Silver Strike in Jean, right as you walked into the casino. I think that was a replica, but... Nate Truman built and owns the car. It's a complete custom job, built on a 1979 Lincoln drive train. Nate built his 1966 Batmobile keeping it true and authentic to the original 1966 Batmobile seen on the original TV series - Batman. In 2003 it was up for sale for $300,000 at Hennings.
A 2013 auction sale of the original George Barris-built Batmobile topped out at $4.6 million.
The casino is gone, the car is gone, where is it now?
