process for Hat and Cane chips, you would better understand how this happen, and when it did, it went un-noticed by Quality Control.
Errors like this are not unknown, in fact I have at least 3 in my collection, but it is still not common. If you could scan your chip (the $5 side) at 600 dpi, or use macro on your phone, that shows the entire surface of the chip, there is a good chance that several here will be able to detect tampering to create an error.
I would like to see this. BTW, be sure to remove the chip from the plastic flip.
