That's why they had to change the name. I think there were three State Line, Nevada's in the past. Primm was named State Line until 1996. So I don't know how Whiskey Pete's at State Line was in Jean, and I suppose that's why someone decided to have them change it. From 1950-1970, roughly, the gas station there also had "State Line Bar:Slots".
Terribles in the real Jean, came and went so fast, I never saw it. Must have been only a few years. (or time flies and we didn't go South last visit?)
Before I was a collector, I actually stopped at Pop's Oasis in Jean, for ice cream, in the late 70s. If I remember right, there was a little 21 table to the left of the door. It was a truck stop and the post office was behind it. That was pretty much all of Jean Nevada.
ps Primm NV is in Clark County. So are Indians Springs, Mesquite and Laughlin. Those are border towns.
