I was good friends with Bill Akeman, and sat up late trading with him at his store on Spring Mountain and his apartment on Tropicana. A lot of good material walked into his store. He was the organizer of the chip show that was at Nevada Palace, at which I had a table. I believe he also ran a show at the Four Queens one year. He founded that Gaming Times Magazine, and at one time he told me he was negotiating a deal to sell it at the airport gift shops but I don’t think it ever came to fruition.
