With thanks to my pals at PCF, I have learned that the chips at the Fountainebleau (and the Parkwest Casino Cordova, CA) are manufactured by Abbiati with RFID tagging by FEIG Electronic. Moreover, the table layouts are specialty manufactured, by Abbiati, with RFID sensing capability. Holy Grail Technology was a development by the Parkwest Casino Cordova owner and brings to bear, Smart RFID wherein the casino has the capability to track player action, to the same degree (and better) that casino slot player tracking systems have!
This includes tracking each and every chip in it's travels through the float! From the players to the cage, count room, fills, on the tables, player buy-ins, player bets, player movements to other tables and to the cage. Players are tagged to the chips when they buy-in using a Players Card, or... When facial recognition ID's a player from a past sign-up (or tagged as a John Doe xxxx based on being seen there in the past). It seems that RFID tags (that black center portion of the Abbiati chips) are now considered hi-fidelity, and the layout at a roulette table, for example, can detect every chip on the layout in stacks (up to 30) and can record, instantly, which chips were bet by which player!
