... had a team that lasted for one season (1994) in the Canadian Football League (CFL)?
I've been doing some research on defunct professional football leagues and teams of the 20th century, and discovered
that in the early to mid 90's the CFL briefly expanded across the border into the U.S.
The Las Vegas Posse was one of those US/CFL expansion teams, along with the Baltimore Stallions, the Birmingham
Barracudas, the Memphis Mad Dogs, the Miami Manatees, the Sacramento Gold Miners, the San Antonio Texans,
and the Shreveport Pirates.
The US expansion experiment was considered a failure and was abandoned after 3 or 4 years - but the Baltimore franchise
did win the 1995 Grey Cup!
