It seems that all everyone knows about the statues comes from an article written by Larry Burnett. The article was part of a terrific website called (I think) lvstriphistory which was taken down because of pirating problems. The first document image in this post is the text from that article. I bought my first statue from Larry in 2000. (I needed help on how to pay with a credit card on eBay) After the purchase I got an email from Larry with a lot more detail including a conversation he had with someone who got his statue on opening night. Sorry for the poor sideways images but I was thinking that I should share this background.
