That last picture of the Sands sign announcing the closing date always makes me sad. I never had the chance to go there because I was just trying to make rent every month! As Dick Bartley knows all too well, those first 40 years in radio are touch and go when it comes to money. So I have chips, but at times I wish I also had memories.
