Been thinking about this for years, but it seems even more apt these days.
Would it be a good idea to stop calling the summer show a "Convention"? We all know what it is, but does it turn off outsiders from thinking its more exclusive than it is? When I think of a convention, I immediately think of something focused inwards. And to a young person, I have to imagine that the word "convention" either has no meaning, or sounds like a bunch of old grandpas sitting around talking of the good old days (which is actually pretty accurate for us).
What about rebranding it something more inviting? How about ChipFest? Chiparama??
Just a thought.
