The Lowly slot bucket>>>>

I spent 48 years in the gambling business. I saw a lot. One casino item I've always enjoyed is the casino slot bucket. I'll bet many on this great board have a few of them. (Pam) I'll also bet you thought the only purpose they served was holding coins from the machines. Wrong! Over the years we saw them used to hold many items. Beer, soda, water, ice, whiskey, cigars, cigarettes, pipe tobacco, spit, urine, feces(both humane and animal), female hygiene products, jewelry, Kleenex, eyeglasses, contact lens cases, belts, socks, underwear (both male and female), diapers (adult and child), checkbooks, player cards, credit cards, ID"s, keys, sex toys, pocket knives, dentures(both uppers and lowers), and my personal favorite an adult diaper with approximately 2 pounds of Sh*t in it. (that must have been quite the relief) When talking to other surveillance operators I always had the topper with that one. That ended when I met a gal from Reno who worked at Harrahs for years. They caught a woman who had put her husbands ashes in a dollar bucket and was spreading them throughout the casino. They caught her by the dice tables, I figure he must have been a craps shooter. Although disgusting, most of these things were funny and harmless until the Aides epidemic and the advent of bio-hazards. What we had to go through to clean some of this stuff up was no longer humorous. I've seen restaurants and entire casinos closed for hours! Anyway the next time you're looking at you slot buckets think of this story and imagine what that bucket might have held!
