Gene Trimble would call this a generic because it has nothing to identify it with any particular casino. It is a basic hot stamp and could have been used in many places or in a home game. Given that it has a number which is a factor of 10, it could be a lammer (a marker to help the eye in the sky determine amounts or values of stacks of chips or for use in replenishing the table rack (I have seen table where the dealer gave money to someone for that function and then putting out lammers showing the amount of cash that was given to be replenished with chips. I believe lammers have many uses in addition to the ones I suggest.
I don't know about your particular chip, but that's a reasonable possibility. As for value, lammers don't have much value (a few bucks, maybe 5 in some cases).
Does this help any?
