I don't know if I heard it from the seller I purchased from, or maybe from your recounting, that there were 36 doors/sets total. Does that sound correct to you? I've searched Google for more information, and have tried to find pictures of them actually on the doors from the TI's glory days, but have (thus far) not found anything.
