Dale Seymour is one of the individuals who established the foundation of the chip collecting hobby that we enjoy today. He was a brilliant mathematician and a tireless researcher. His fascination with numbers, chance and mathematical theory blended automatically with his instincts for collecting.

Possibly one of his traits from which our hobby benefited the most was being a teacher. HIs willingness to share information with other collectors provided a foundation for our hobby. Dale wrote more than 100 books on subjects as varied as Gaming Chips, Mathematics, children's books and was comfortable discussing almost any subject with his friends.

Margo and Dale Seymour shared their home and hospitality with us a number of times, and any stay at Margo and Dale's house was an experience not to be forgotten.

Dale leaves a legacy of a great educator, mathematician and friend to our hobby. He will be missed, but his efforts to educate all of will be a life to emulate.
