Definitely has to be considered when considering paying "Z" type money for a chip knowing that there is quantity out there. Strong handed collectors and dealers sometimes loose their grip. I've seen it many times in this hobby. Financial issues, loss of interest and death are among some of the reasons that the chips eventually show up in the market in quantity. Intentions change!!!

I do feel that the valuation equation is different for chips being actively marketed and those held in a collection (like a set collector).

Be interesting to see how TCR experts value these chips????? All are experienced collectors and have seen similar situations.
