I just got home from a 3 day stay in Atlantic City at Borgata. Usually one of the nicest Casinos in A C but major problems this week. When I checked in on Sunday afternoon everything was OK but unfortunately everything went down hill from there !! On late Sunday night/early Monday morning I checked my account and there was nothing but Zeros showing - no comp $$ (I had around $700 of comps that I was going to use to pay my bill with), no point balance, etc.
On Monday morning I found out they had "computer problems" and later I found out ALL the computer systems in the MGM properties across the country had been "hacked" !! You could not access any of your accounts, no free play or comps were available, ATM machines were not operating restaurants were open but accepting "cash only" payments. Valet parking was writing down manually all requests for vehicles.
I went to other Casinos to gamble - Harrahs and Caesars - everything was fine there.
When I checked out - they wrote my room # on a piece of paper - nothing else no name no address, no email but they said they would send me an email when things got straighten out - no bill or receipt of any kind. I got my car from the valet and drove home.
MGM must be losing Millions per day nationwide as this problem continues. I guess there will be some coverage about this situation on the News or the Internet tonight. It is amazing what chaos Hackers can inflict on Companies and Customers. Also who knows what sort of info may have been accessed - credit cards, bank info, emails, etc, etc, etc.
Take care.
Jerry
