I'm glad you brought that up because another user emailed me about the very same thing. I'll be preparing a few different "how tos" to help people get more familiar with the forums. Maybe even some videos. But first, here's how to update your name and other values:
1. Login to the site (currently https://chipcollectors.org, but there will be a link on the new website).
2. Click the drop down in the very upper left corner (where your name/handle is)
3. Go to Account Settings
4. Update the "Name" field
Be sure to click "Change Profile" in the bottom right when you're done so your changes are saved.
Optional, but recommended, is to append your membership number to your name (eg, John Smith, R-XXXX). This will help membership validate your account so you get the added permissions.
Other things you can do here (all optional):
A. Add your picture (avatar) so people can put a face to the name
B. Put a little blurb in the "Personal Text" field. For mine, I put "Nevada Chip Collector". You have 50 characters there, I think, and it appears on the left edge below your name when you post/reply.
C. Enter your birthday (if you want) and it will appear on the club calendar (currently disabled pending approval by the board to enable this).
D. Create a signature. What you enter here appears at the bottom of each message/reply you post. Max length is 300 characters. Go nuts.
E. Enter your city/state
F. Enter your gender
