I remember the Red Coach and the lone 21 game but I never
saw it open. I remember talking with Dick Piper after he took
it over. You can read about the places he worked in Kling. I
first met him when he owned the Mustang Club in Ely. He said
he was involved in the construction of some of the early places
in Las Vegas. The Nugget is just a glorified slot joint like all
those other places on Hiway 50. There’s now a roundabout
at the intersection in Silver Springs.
