When I was a young man, Gardena used to bill itself as “The Poker Capital of the World”. Five clubs, 35 tables each, the maximum anllowed, all open 24 hours a day for draw and lo-ball. Players dealt the cards themselves and games moved at a breakneck pace because you paid by time. If you contemplated too long about calling a raise, an old lady might tell you to hurry up and make a decision. The first time I went to Gardena, I thought it was the most unique gaming atmosphere I had ever experienced. All the original clubs are gone now, but we still have their chips to remember them by. I recently found some odd Gardena material that should include something that even advanced collectors need. Now on eBay, under seller havechipswilltravel, or just search for one of the chips below. In each case, it’s the only one currently on eBay. Low starting bids.
