Not cheap but a cool investment as plastic collectibles all tend to crack, bleed, fade, have UV decolorations, bleeding lunettes, metal inlays coming loose or even worse.

If you preserve mother of pearl in the correct way they will be all what is left in a 100 years, with the metal and bone and well preserved cardboard items.
