I just asked if that is what you thought (in earlier posts) so I'd appreciate it if you could try to understand what I am saying and not make it up as you go along just to fit your narrative or change what I actually say (I realise you may find that hard). As you ignored the question and didn't reply to any of the times I asked, I reworded it but thought you would have noticed the original query and not just the one from the last post. If you think that the London ones should be there then that must mean that you think that the Portsmouth ones should also be moved there too? So you aren't bothered about consistency then, if not? And you would prefer to muddy the waters by having a jeton in the roulette chip section which would be confusing? Why am I not surprised by that.
As to factual reasoning, obviously not and I did a lot more than just say they would fit better in jetons but obviously you didn't see the copious amount of times I stated why I thought they should be there. The main one being that they are jetons NOT chips, hello!!!
I still think it makes more sense to put under jetons as that is the actual type with a note saying they were used on FR as putting it on roulette chips with a note saying it is a jeton is, to my mind, ridiculous and confusing. Whatever the guide decides to do is what will happen so I will stand by what they decide, let's hope you do too. We can agree to differ in our opinions.
If that is the case then the Portsmouth ones are exactly the same so they should be there too to keep it consistent as stated above or do you feel that is a different thing entirely?
I mentioned mob junkets as they were something that happened and one of the people that organised it worked at the Vic and Playboy so it's a possibility that can't be ruled out. Same with the training school idea that I mentioned in detail. As nobody can confirm either way I think it would be foolish to just dismiss/discount out of hand without having any knowledge that contradicts either possibility. Yes, it was speculation which you do all the time so I assumed that you would take it as it was intended, with a pinch of salt and maybe even explore that avenue of research but it's entirely up to you. Anybody is allowed to speculate and you don't have the monopoly on it so if you don't agree then fine but I am allowed, especially by actually being British and an ex-croupier/pit boss/manager etc. I think it would be pretty small minded to say to somebody that their opinion is worthless as they aren't the correct nationality but it happens, as well you know. Especially as their research could be more extensive than mine and they could know more than us about certain things so it is worth listening and just disregarding what is not applicable but not just what you don't agree with. Can you understand that at least?
I don't randomly comment on posts to hijack them and make them about me or something vaguely relevant that I did years ago, I only comment if I feel that I can add something useful or helpful to the thread. I don't need to get my daily dose of self-importance fix or ego boost either. Also, I feel that it may be possible to either help correct or point in the right direction which is why I don't do it often and usually only with UK stuff.
When it comes to the guide, I use the update button although when I asked about the jetons being in the “wrong” place it wasn’t answered (along with others including a long list of casino addresses, phone numbers and opening/closing dates) but that was many years ago now. In the last couple of years, I’ve kept Raul on his toes as he has been doing a pretty extensive facelift of the UK section and I’ve been helping as much as I can with updated photos and other missing information so I haven’t wanted to hassle or overwork him which is why I still have 100s of items left to put on the UK guide. As I didn’t fixate on the London jetons, I just didn’t get around to it but I find it is more productive that way than just criticising the guide on the board and I find it gets more done plus it is the correct way to do it as far as I am concerned.
Hopefully that is the end of this pointless discussion that is going nowhere but I doubt it.
