Personally I feel that the London ones listed as roulettes on the guide should be in the jeton section for the reasons stated and have mentioned it before but to no avail.
Also, when people buy in on a roulette table, the chips are actually given at the minimum value of the table unless they specify they want them at a higher value when they buy in which is when they are marked up on the "chip tree" as being a higher value. It doesn't really happen that often but when it does, the chips are usually counted beforehand and afterwards just to make sure the possibility of cheating is eliminated (or at least minimised). In fact, at the start of the shift, the amounts of each colour chip are counted and recorded just in case people have kept hold of some to buy in at a higher rate the next day (or later in the same day even) although not all clubs do it. The Vic did it, Crockfords and the Clermont used to lock them away in the float at night and also did it although neither of those had chipping machines so it was much easier to discreetly track if any extra chips had appeared (or disappeared).
