Is there agreement that they are jetons?
As they were only used on the French roulette tables (according to the sources I have quoted and what Jo has confrimed) then which should they be put under? The Portsmouth photo also shows jetons on the FR table so it's pretty well established that they were used but they are still jetons regardless of what game they were used on.
Personally I would put them in jetons with a note saying that they were used on the French roulette or you may as well put all of the UK jetons in there too (or most of them if we can figure out which were definitely used on FR) along with most jetons from abroad too.
And then there's the plaques, are they the ones mentioned by another source as being the ones only used on FR or not? We don't know for sure (yet). Should they be under roulette too? No, they shouldn't. The sections are for types of chips/jetons/plaques/tokens etc so it would be deviating from that somewhat.
So unless somebody fancies creating a FR section, they are jetons not chips which makes the most sense to me.
Maybe they could also do a Membership card section too as most of the ones I have sent are not slot cards.
And then there are the metal £2.50 tokens which, strictly speaking, could be put as BJ tokens not slot tokens and weren't issued to roulette floats or used in slots as far as I know.
It's nice to have consistency hence my opinion that they are jetons not chips regardless of them being used on roulette.
I'm sure the guide will do what they think is best but that is just my opinion although to be totally honest, I don't really care at this moment in time as I have more important things to worry about. I just thought I'd mention from my perspective. I don't really wish to have a discussion about it as I think I covered all I have to say well enough.
