Yep, we know there were mainly clay chips as hardly any jetons have been found so far but even some of those still haven't been seen (25np for instance). Plus there are a few only known notched which would be great to find without.
As for tourist level, they had many regular players and you had to be a member to play (or be signed in) but yes, if people had enough time to join and wait the time needed before being able to play then there would have been some, I'm sure.
As to the article mentioned in my last post, well, it says a lot too.
