I have lots of memories of Eureka. Louie Gibellini was one of my
favorite people. He worked many mines in the area and was Nevada
single-jack champion for a while. The Owl and Nevada clubs had live
gaming. The Lincoln Hotel had a full casino at one time. The owner,
Blanche Olinger was murdered in her room there. The Brown Hotel
was renamed Jackson House and we spent a night there. The old news-
paper building houses a great museum.
