They used the same single 0 wheel on AR as the card above shows.
As to what type of chip/jeton, I'd personally say chip due to the inserts plus stacking jetons is probably not the best way to handle them but I suppose it's possible. The only photo I've found of a french roulette table is the one shown previously that shows them in racks not stacks.
It's from Portsmouth not London but still, it's the only photo I've found so far (Playtime staff magazine) and I think stacks of jetons would have been impractical although I'm sure that Jo can shed more light on that as he dealt it.

Let's hope better photos turn up sometime.
